In a few more hours it will be my birthday. (8:12 am to be precise) I was trying to think of what to write tonight, and then I got a gift from my Aunt Lorrie. Aunt Lorrie is not my real aunt, but she and my mom have been friends since way before I was born. Every now and then she gets hit with the poetry bug and writes some really awesome poems. It’s rare when it happens so if you get one you are pretty special. She gave it to me in a pretty frame and told me the poem was inspired by some things she read on my blog. So since this blog was part of her inspiration, I thought I’d share it on the blog. Enjoy!
Still To Come…
So much of life, still yet to come.
So many dreams, still yet undone.
Keep running the race,
Keep knocking & seeking.
Serving & loving, even through weeping.
His plan is unfolding, and you’ll surely see,
Every piece of the puzzle,
Your life is to be
and then at the bottom she added this verse: “I have it all planned out- plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jeremiah 29:11
What a great poem right? super encouraging. So tomorrow if I feel the slightest bit off about my birthday, I’m going to re-read this poem and I’m sure the feeling will go away!
